About 150,000 people slaughtered in Blagovshchina by Nazis
By Natalia Bordilovskaya: In the Trostenets death camp, hundreds of thousands of Jews, brought here from all over Europe, were killed. Based on the official records alone, about 150,000 people were slaughtered in Blagovshchina.
Today, the Blagovschina tract is a 70 acres park located near the Minsk–Mogilev highway. And architects and builders have finally completed the second stage of the Trostenets Memorial Complex here. It has sculptures now and acts as an extension of sorts for the monument Memory Gate that was set up a few years ago. Such places of mass torture and murder of the Great Patriotic War are an important part in the family chronicle of many people and entire countries.
