Wreath from Embassy of Belarus laid in Moscow at Tomb of Unknown Soldier
3 days are left before the celebration of the Great Victory. The wreath from the Embassy of Belarus was laid today in Moscow at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The solemn ceremony is traditionally held on the eve of May 9. The monument is located in the Alexander Garden at the walls of the Kremlin. The ashes of an unknown warrior, whose remains were taken from a mass grave discovered at the Kryukovo railway station, are buried under the bronze monument. Today this place is a symbol of memory of all the soldiers who died defending our Motherland. And as the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko noted, the external challenges and difficult times that Belarus and Russia are experiencing today have always only united our peoples. Participants of the event are diplomats, parliamentarians and military attachés. They paid tribute to the memory of all the nameless soldiers who died during the Second World War. It is not by chance that the words are carved on the stone over the Eternal Flame: "Your name is unknown, your feat is immortal."
