Soldiers and veterans of 103rd Airborne Brigade lay flowers at monument to paratroopers in Vitebsk
They guard our Motherland. Today is the Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces.
Today paratroopers gave a bright holiday to the residents of Vitebsk. This regional center is rightfully considered the Belarusian capital of the Blue Berets. For about 80 years the 103rd Airborne Brigade has been located there. Its servicemen joined the limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan in 1979 and took part in combat operations. Today, the soldiers and officers of the 103rd Airborne Brigade demonstrate the most advanced methods of combat on the ground and in the air.
Every serviceman who served either in the Airborne Forces of the Soviet Union or in the Special Operations Forces of the Republic of Belarus are servicemen who have gone through a certain school of life. And what, if not difficulties, unite good friends in a difficult situation?
Soldiers and veterans of the 103rd Airborne Brigade laid flowers at the Paratroopers Monument and paid homage to their comrades who perished in Afghanistan. Today, the Blue Berets are presenting flowers to the women, and children are treated to sweets.
