Middle East on verge of full-scale conflict - Iranian Foreign Minister
Iranian Foreign Minister Sayyid Abbas Araghchi said that the Middle East is on the threshold of a full-scale conflict. The diplomat is sure that the only way to save innocent lives is for Israel to stop its attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.
Tel Aviv's impunity and the international community's disregard for the role of the US and its allies in the Arab-Israeli war are pushing the Middle East toward disaster. Araqchi noted - Tehran will not stand aside in case of a full-scale war in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Israel's Chief of General Staff said that the country is preparing for a ground operation against the Arab republic. In the meantime, the IDF is carrying out massive missile strikes in Lebanon. Over the past 24 hours, 72 people were victims of attacks, about 400 were wounded.
Saudi Arabia, Japan, Qatar, the United States, the EU and the UAE called for an immediate ceasefire on the border between Israel and Lebanon for a period of 21 days. This follows a joint statement by the states. The parties called for a ceasefire, pledging their support to end the crisis. Earlier, Russia called for an immediate halt to the escalation in the Middle East.
