Belarus to take part in OSCE Ministerial Council in Malta
The OSCE Ministerial Council is starting in Malta. The 31st meeting in Valletta brought together representatives of all 57 participating countries, including Belarus.
Our delegation is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. The day before the event, the visa of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, was cancelled.
Will there be room for dialogue against the backdrop of a serious escalation of the military-political situation in the region?
Amidst the high turbulence of the geopolitical situation, the OSCE Ministerial Council will start in Malta on December 5.
The high-level meeting, convened to make decisions that determine the future work of the organization, brought together representatives of all 57 participating countries. The Belarusian delegation was no exception. It is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich. Belarus, despite the periodically manifested "engagement" of international institutions, continues to knock on all doors with specific proposals for peace, remaining a donor of stability.
Russia will be represented by the country's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. As soon as the news of Moscow's participation reached Lithuania, they decided to once again attract attention to themselves with a showpiece and lowered the status of their mission.
The United States will be represented at the diplomatic meeting by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Will the desire of a group of Western countries to impose their vision of the world on everyone give way to constructive dialogue and cooperation?
