Candidates to Belarusian presidency announced

The procedure for presenting certificates to candidates for President of the Republic of Belarus took place at the Central Election Commission, BELTA reports.

On December 23, at its meeting, the Central Election Commission registered 5 candidates for President of the Republic of Belarus: the current President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, the Chairman of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice Alexander Khizhnyak, the Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich, the individual entrepreneur Anna Kanopatskaya, and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus Sergei Syrankov.

The election campaign will take place from January 1 to January 25, 2025.

The presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for January 26, 2025.
