UN Security Council discusses Ukrainian conflict
The Ukrainian conflict will become a topic of discussion at the UN Security Council meeting. The request was made by Kiev authorities in hopes of pressing on the international community. This was announced by the First Deputy Post-President of Russia at the World Organization Dmitry Polyansky.
According to him, the Russian delegation will try to defend its position once again and convince members of the Security Council of the threats posed by the Zelensky regime. Kiev’s latest actions show its choice in favor of escalation rather than a peaceful settlement of the conflict. Polyansky stressed Ukraine "will regret" the move.
And application of Moscow's new medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik" should sober NATO hot heads.
Dmitry Polyansky, first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN:
"As for the Oreshnik, it seems to me that the use of this system, which has no analogues in NATO countries, against which NATO countries have no antidote, no countermeasure, this use should sober up the hottest heads in the alliance, because they should realize that they will not have any response to a Russian strike, they will not, in fact, have time to prepare this response. The hazel demonstration was very successful. It revealed the capabilities that we have, and then the choice is up to NATO countries. Will they still want to raise the stakes and escalate, realizing that we have such weapons?"
