Minsk and Moscow in 2025 must finally decide whether a second nuclear power plant will be built in Belarus. This was stated by the Ministry of Energy of Belarus.
The parties created an expert group, which started working. It also includes Russian specialists. In the coming year, it is necessary to decide on the construction of either a second station or the installation of a third unit at the existing Belarusian NPP.
Belarus has an interest in a new large-scale construction project - this possibility has been mentioned more than once at the highest level. Rosatom confirmed that it is ready to work on the second station project if there is such a desire from the Belarusian side.
