Lukashenko proved himself to be experienced, serious leader - Belyaev

In a situation of complex foreign policy, there must be a core, there must be one leader of the country. This was stated in the "Actual Interview" by the dean of the faculty of journalism of BSU Alexey Belyaev.
On the eve of the 2025 elections in Belarus, enemies will try to introduce some destabilizing moment, although it will be more difficult for them to do so, the expert believes.

He outlined the issue to which the President paid special attention - this is that the elections in our country are held according to a democratic procedure. "Anyone can try to put themselves forward as a candidate for the presidential seat if they meet the formal parameters set out in the Constitution (which have changed slightly following the results of the 2022 constitutional referendum). And we see that there has been a wave of such nominations. But here a problem has arisen, i.e., on the one hand, we must comply with the norms of democracy. The President has always said that there must be people who run as alternative candidates. But now everyone really understands that in a situation of difficult foreign policy, there must be a core, there must be one leader of the country (now we have Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko). And we do not need another one now in difficult times, - Alexey Belyaev is sure. - You don't change horses in midstream, as they say. Moreover, as a politician, Alexander Lukashenko has established himself as an experienced, serious leader, he is in excellent physical shape. Recently, he chopped wood and told all his enemies in fact what kind of health he has, although they are always worried about his health."
