Representative of Belarus to UN: Decisions regarding Belarusian Paralympians are illegal

The decisions of the International Paralympic Committee regarding Belarusian athletes are illegal. This was stated from the high rostrum of the UN General Assembly by Deputy Permanent Representative of Belarus to the organization Pavel Evseenko.
According to him, the politicization of sports and illegal sanctions that affect the volume of international trade, incomes of the population, investments, also negatively affect the development of sports and infrastructure.
Pavel Evseenko:
"For example, in 2022, the International Paralympic Committee, for political reasons, suspended Belarusian athletes with disabilities from participating in the Winter Paralympics in Beijing, later the General Assembly of the International Paralympic Committee suspended Belarus' membership in this structure. Such decisions are illegal, unfounded and politically biased. Belarus has not violated a single point of the Constitution of the International Paralympic Committee."
The diplomat also noted that, despite the unfriendly steps, Minsk remains open to dialogue and is ready for negotiations with the IOC.
