Turkey demands arms embargo against Israel

Turkey and 53 countries and organizations are calling on the UN Security Council to declare an arms embargo against Tel Aviv. This was announced by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, calling the administration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "global threat" and calling on all countries to prevent Israel from ignoring international law.

Meanwhile, Turkish youths attacked the German ship Katrin, which is linked to the transportation of munitions to Israel. A group of men climbed aboard the ship in the port of Istanbul, they unfurled a Palestinian flag and shouted slogans demanding the removal of anything that could help Tel Aviv.

More than 43,000 Palestinians have been killed and another 102,000 injured by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.
