The future of our continent from Lisbon to Seoul lies within the framework of Eurasian security
The 31st meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council started today in the Maltese city of Valletta. Representatives of 57 member states of the organization gathered at the diplomatic gathering. Among them was the Belarusian delegation. Were all ready to demonstrate a desire for constructive dialogue?
OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council: Discussion against the backdrop of tension in the world
The first working day of the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council ended in Malta. The forum on the security landscape in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions was held against the backdrop of an increasing escalation of the military-political situation.
But despite the bias and double standards of international institutions, Belarus continues to knock on all possible doors with proposals for peace.
Yuri Ambrazevich, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:
“Yuri Ambrazevich emphasized in his speech at the meeting that Minsk is convinced that the future of our continent from Lisbon to Seoul lies within the framework of Eurasian security. The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also drew attention to this, citing the recent international conference in Minsk as an example."
Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister:
“The symbol of the 31st OSCE Ministerial Council meeting is the Maltese lighthouse, symbolizing fundamental principles and commitments. The tower with signal lights is designed to provide leadership in turbulent times. But those who were eager to take up positions as guarantors of security have long since exposed their inability to cope with this. Ships in the raging geopolitical storm are still moving towards each other and risk colliding.”
