Lukashenko: Agricultural sector is among the most efficient branches of Belarusian economy

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko the congratulated farmers on their professional holiday - the Day of Workers of Agriculture and the Processing Industry.

This was reported by BELTA with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Today, the country's agricultural sector is among the most efficient branches in the Belarusian economy," the head of state noted. "This year, our rural workers have grown and harvested a good harvest: more than 10 million tons of grain, including corn and rapeseed, about 5 million tons of sugar beet. Farmers provide their own population with high-quality and tasty products, and continue to increase exports."

The President expressed confidence that thanks to hard work and perseverance, the large-scale tasks facing the country's agro-industrial complex will be worthily accomplished.

The head of state expressed words of gratitude to the veterans of the industry and all villagers for their professionalism and responsibility, sincere love for their native land, and the desire to preserve and enhance the best national agricultural traditions.

Alexander Lukashenko wished everyone good health, prosperity, and consistently high harvests.
