President of Belarus to hold talks with Moscow Mayor Sobyanin

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will meet with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on December 23, BELTA reports.

Sergei Sobyanin arrived in Belarus on a working visit on December 23. He is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev. The program of the Russian delegation's visit also includes a visit to the Minsk Tractor Works, where it will get familiar with an exhibition of Belarusian industrial products.

Sergei Sobyanin last visited Belarus in 2016. Then he took part in the Days of Moscow in Minsk and the third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia.

Moscow is one of Belarus's main partners among the subjects of the Russian Federation. In 2023, the volume of mutual trade amounted to more than $6 billion. In 2024, this level was already reached based on the results of January-October.
