Exercise BALTOPS: NATO warships conducted simulated strikes against targets in the Baltic Sea region.
The exercise involves 9,000 troops from 16 NATO member states, 40 warships and boats, 25 airplanes and helicopters to workup landing operations, artillery firing, anti-submarine and air defense, mine-clearing operations, and the use of unmanned underwater vehicles.
