Belarus acted as a mediator in the return of the Kursk residents, who were forcefully taken to Ukraine. Today, 25 Russians have returned home.
Among those returned are many elderly individuals, with the oldest woman being 92 years old. An 11-year-old boy also made the journey back, along with his family. Six individuals required medical assistance and were taken to the hospital.
Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova expressed her sincere gratitude to the Belarusian side for its role as a mediator. Currently, 72 residents of the Kursk region remain in Ukraine, and Russia insists on their prompt return.
