Lukashenko: Belarus will assist in exchange of bodies and prisoners between Russia and Ukraine

Belarus will contribute to the exchange of bodies and prisoners between Russia and Ukraine. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said this in an interview with journalists of NTV's Central Television on the margins of the BRICS summit in Kazan, BELTA reports.
Alexander Lukashenko said that certain contacts between Belarus and Ukraine are preserved. The President explained that the media flashes news about the UAE mediation in the exchange of bodies and prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine, but the process itself is organized with the direct participation of Belarusians. “This is all happening on our territory. It's all happening with our hands,” said the head of state.
He reminded that the last such exchanges had taken place just recently. “And further, if the Russians want it (the Ukrainians want it), we will facilitate this process. That is, the Ukrainian side has no rejection to the fact that they will work with us and practically on our territory. We are carrying out this humanitarian mission and will continue to do so, including on children - their Commissioner, your Commissioner for Children's Rights, our Commissioner and members of our Parliament are involved in this. I support it,” emphasized the Belarusian leader.
