Lukashenko confident in ability of Belarus and Russia's Tula region to reach $1 billion in trade
- Important

Belarus and Russia's Tula region are capable of increasing the trade turnover up to $1 billion. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at his meeting with Governor of Tula region Dmitry Milyaev on November 5, BelTA informs.
As he was greeting the head of the Russian region on the hospitable Belarusian land, the President took the opportunity to personally congratulate him on his election to the high and responsible post of the governor of the region (the election of the governor of Tula region was held in September 2024).
Alexander Lukashenko noted that his previous meeting with the delegation of Tula took place in Minsk more than 10 years ago. During this time, both Belarus and Tula Region have made a serious step forward in the area of mutual cooperation, the President said. The bilateral trade turnover has reached $500 million over the past two years, which is quite an impressive amount despite, or perhaps thanks to, any difficulties. In the first nine months of this year, trade grew by another 37 %. "Therefore, one billion is not such a high bar for us," the President said.
