President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Finland on Independence Day. This was reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the head of state.

The head of state emphasized that the return of Minsk and Helsinki to a full-fledged dialogue in the current conditions is not a dogma or a political declaration, but a necessity dictated by modern circumstances, a requirement of both peoples who want to live in peace and harmony.
"Belarus is ready to resume bilateral interaction with Finland and expand its range, taking into account your country's chairmanship of the OSCE next year," the President said. - I hope that Helsinki, as 50 years ago, will contribute to the return of the organization to the functional notions that make up its name - security and cooperation.
