Lukashenko: Elections must comply with national laws

Elections should first of all comply with the national laws of the state, Alexander Lukashenko said on September 19 during a meeting with the heads of the electoral bodies of the CIS countries, reports BELTA.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
"It is necessary to study the world experience. It is unlikely that we will learn anything there, probably, we have already studied everything and made the appropriate decisions at home. It is important to develop our own standards, and the main standard that we always follow is not how some principles will be imposed on us by the OSCE or some other organizations, but how our laws and by-laws will comply with the Constitution and to what extent the elections will comply with the laws adopted in our countries. This is the main thing".
