Lukashenko heads to Oman on working visit

December 14, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko went on a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the head of state.
“Negotiations with Sultan of Oman Haisam bin Tarek Al Said are scheduled. The leaders of the countries will discuss the state and prospects for the development of relations, directions in which to give additional impetus to bilateral cooperation. The heads of state will also exchange views on the current international agenda,” said the press service of the President.
The relations between Belarus and Oman are based on the foundation that was laid back in 2007 during the first ever visit of Alexander Lukashenko to this country. Since then, the parties have significantly increased the legal framework of bilateral cooperation, landmark high-level visits have taken place, and joint work is being carried out in a number of areas.
The main focus of Alexander Lukashenko's current visit will be on trade and economic cooperation.
We are talking about expanding trade turnover, developing cooperation in industry and agriculture and other areas of mutual interest.
