Lukashenko on Russia: We count on soon launch of unified gas and oil product markets

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus expects the earliest possible launch of a unified gas, oil and oil product market with Russia.

This statement was made on 6 December in Minsk at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, BELTA reported.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that another significant step in the construction of the Union State was the development of the Treaty on the Formation of a Unified Electricity Market.

"For the functioning of an equal and fair economic environment, we expect the earliest possible launch of unified gas, oil and oil product markets," the President said.

He added that work in these areas is underway.
