President establishes procedure for participation of Belarus' representatives in international even

On December 9, the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 459 "On Representing the Republic of Belarus at International Events", BELTA reports.

In accordance with the decree, from March 1, 2025, the use of the words "Republic of Belarus", "Belarus", "national", "Belarusian" in the names of cultural, sports and educational events, the purpose of which is to select persons for their preparation in international events on behalf of the Republic of Belarus, is allowed only if the organizer of the event is a state organization.

The National Beauty School is granted the status of a single coordinator for the organization and holding of the National Beauty Contest "Miss Belarus", the selection of representatives of the Republic of Belarus for participation in international beauty contests.

The decree also determines the procedure for the participation of representatives of Belarus in international cultural, sports, educational events, the documents on the holding of which provide for the representation of the state by only one person (team).

Representation of the Republic of Belarus at such events by an individual or a team will be possible provided that they pass the national selection or are sent for participation by a state organization or notify a state body of the intention to participate in such an event.

These standards will ensure the protection of the interests of our country and carry out the highest professional preparation of national participants for significant international events.
