Bloomberg: The West is no longer at the helm of the world
The G20 summit showed that the West no longer determines the world politics. Such conclusions are made by Bloomberg analysts following the Summit in Brazil.
As the agency notes, each statement by the Group of Twenty - after the start of the Russian operation in Ukraine is less categorical in relation to the Ukrainian conflict, and fewer and fewer countries want to play by the old rules.
Bloomberg emphasizes that the meeting felt like Donald Trump's future return to the White House. And the countries of the global South felt most comfortable.
For example, the head of China and the Prime Minister of India were in the spotlight both before and after the group photo sessions. The New York Times newspaper previously noted that the G20 leaders practically did NOT pay attention to the US President.
Joe Biden did not even get into the group photo, arriving at the place at the moment when the others began to disperse. Probably, he has already gotten used to the fact that he is always expected. But it seems times have changed.
