Denmark frightened by Trump's intentions

Trump's imperial ambitions are scaring Denmark. BBC writes that Copenhagen announced a significant increase in defense spending on Greenland. This decision was taken after the US President-elect reiterated his desire to acquire this Arctic territory. Denmark has strongly opposed this. As noted by the kingdom's defense minister, the defense package amounts to at least one and a half billion dollars - these funds will allow the purchase of two new inspection ships, long-range drones and additional dog sled teams. The support will also help upgrade one of the island's civilian airports to handle supersonic fighter jets.
