Europe discusses sending military to Ukraine to monitor possible ceasefire

Some European countries are discussing sending their militaries to Ukraine to monitor compliance with the ceasefire if such an agreement is reached. This was reported by the AFP news agency citing sources.
According to the agency, the discussion is being held not within NATO, but between individual countries. Thus, the issue of sending the military to Ukraine will not be discussed at the meeting of the alliance on December 3-4, writes TASS.
US President-elect Donald Trump promised during his election campaign to make peace in Ukraine "within 24 hours", but did not specify how he plans to do it. In this regard, according to AFP sources in NATO, European countries fear they will be excluded from a possible settlement process and some are looking for ways to secure a seat at the negotiating table.
