Hot night in Georgia: protesters build barricades, set fire to garbage cans and smash shop windows
The West does not stop trying to ignite a color revolution in Georgia.
On the previous day protests continued in Tbilisi against the decision of the country's government to suspend negotiations on joining the European Union.
Several tens of thousands of people gathered near the parliament building and clashed with law enforcers. Protesters built barricades and set garbage cans on fire, smashed shop windows and looted cafes. Bottles, stones and smoke bombs were thrown at the police, and they also tried to use pyrotechnics against the law enforcers.
Several lanterns on the parliament building were damaged and the wires of CCTV cameras were set on fire. They tried to break the gates to the building itself - the provocateurs were driven away with the help of water cannon.
In addition, a group of radicals climbed onto the balcony of the Georgian Dream office and broke the windows of the building.
The protests, however, were successfully stopped by using pepper spray and water cannons. More than 100 people were detained. There are reports of 10 injured police officers.
The organizers of the riots declared their intention to take to the streets until the Georgian authorities return to the "course of European integration" and hold repeated parliamentary elections.
