Maria Zakharova points to silencing of crimes and double standards in United States
The United States seeks to be the “moralizer” of the international community. But it is time for Washington to think about its own rules of existence.
The White House is concerned about the fate of Ukrainian children. Meanwhile for decades American minors have been subjected to violence in the United States itself. Maria Zakharova said about the silencing of crimes and double standards.
Maria Zakharova, official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry:
"The US on international platforms acts as the main moralizer. They lecture everyone. They have in taken up the topic of not just Ukraine, but Ukrainian children, supposedly showing concern for them. I have a question: if the United States and its entire state apparatus are so concerned about the fate of Ukrainian children, maybe at some point they should think about what is happening to their own children, specific children, including well-known children."
