Oreshnik tests - Russia sends warning signal to the West
Russia has sent a threatening signal to the West, the Oreshnik tests are a warning shot indicating the risk of a third world war. Such headlines are all over the world media on November 22, trying to figure out the essence of the Russian President's message.
The previous evening, Vladimir Putin made an address. The statements became a signal to the West, a reason for Kiev's partners to think about a thoughtless and fatal escalation of the situation.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia:
"On November 19, six US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles and on November 21, during a combined missile attack by UK-made Storm Shadow and US-made HIMARS systems, military facilities were struck in the Russian Federation in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. It has been repeatedly emphasized earlier that the regional conflict in Ukraine provoked by the West has acquired elements of a global nature."
As a demonstration response to the strikes by Western long-range weapons, Russia carried out a combined strike. It used a ballistic missile in a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead called "Oreshnik". Its launch was a test. As Vladimir Putin stated, the testing of the weapons was successful: the goal was achieved - one of the largest industrial complexes in Ukraine was hit.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia:
"We are conducting combat tests of the Oreshnik missile system in response to the aggressive actions of NATO countries against Russia. The issue of further deployment of medium- and shorter-range missiles will be decided by us depending on the actions of the United States and its satellites. We will determine the targets for destruction during further tests of our latest missile systems based on the threats to the security of the Russian Federation. We consider ourselves entitled to use our weapons against military facilities of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against our facilities, and we will respond to aggressive actions with the same decisiveness and in kind. I recommend that the ruling elites of those countries that are hatching plans to use their military contingents against Russia seriously think about this."
Vladimir Putin also noted that when choosing, if necessary, as a response to targets for destruction by Oreshnik-type systems, Moscow will offer civilians in advance to leave dangerous areas. This will be announced openly, publicly, without fear of enemy counteraction.
