Polish authorities extend buffer zone on Belarusian-Polish border for another 90 days

Polish authorities have extended the buffer zone on the border with Belarus for another 90 days. This was reported by BELTA, citing the official website of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak signed an order to extend the buffer zone for another 90 days," the report says. The decision will come into force on December 10.
Poland introduced a buffer zone on the border with Belarus on June 13 this year for a period of 90 days. In mid-September, a decision was made to extend it for another 90 days.
It was noted that the zone covers the length of the border in a section of 60.67 km, located within the territorial radius of the border service posts in Narewka, Bialowieza, Dubicze-Cerkiewnia and Czeremha. At the same time, in a section of about 44 km, the restricted zone is located 200 m off the state border line. And in a section of about 16 km, located in the reserve zone, the zone is wider and is about 2 km.
