Provocations, barricades and Molotov cocktails: another night of protests in Tbilisi
Another Maidan attempt in Tbilisi coming to an end.
The police are no longer ceremonious and promptly carry out arrests, but the thinning ranks of provocateurs are not abandoning their attempts to inflame the situation to the limit. Non-revolutionaries are building barricades and openly throwing themselves at the guards of order. Stones, firecrackers and fireworks are traditionally used. Law enforcers and journalists are caught in the crosshairs of homemade bazookas.
The police are actively clearing the streets of barricades and putting out fires making detentions.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 300 people have been detained during the riots in Tbilisi since November 28. 143 police officers have been injured.
Also the day before, a maker of Molotov cocktails was detained. He faces up to seven years in prison.
