Putin supports proposal to sign treaty with Belarus on security guarantees in Union State

The President of Russia has supported the proposal to sign a treaty with Belarus on security guarantees in the Union State
Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry to sign a treaty between Russia and Belarus on security guarantees in the framework of the Union State.
This is stated in the order of the Russian leader, published on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation, BelTA reported.
“To accept the proposal of the Russian Foreign Ministry, coordinated with the interested federal state bodies, to sign the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on security guarantees within the framework of the Union State. To authorize the Russian Foreign Ministry to make amendments to the draft Treaty in the course of negotiations on the signing of the said Treaty, which are not of principal nature,” reads the order of the President of the Russian Federation.
The text of the document states that it is advisable to sign the treaty at the highest level.
