The authorities of Nagasaki intend to invite representatives of Belarus and Russia to the memorial ceremony to mark American atomic bombing of the city. Previously, the list of guests was purely selective and politicized.
The authorities of Hiroshima will send notifications to all UN member-countries instead of official invitations.
The events are scheduled for August 6 and 9.
