Moscow is open to contacts with the administration of Donald Trump, the ball is on the American side. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview with journalist Marina Kim , reports TASS.
"President Putin said at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club that he is always ready to communicate. We did not interrupt it - the ball is in the other court," the diplomat said, answering a question on the matter.
Lavrov emphasized that Moscow does not have any expectations from the new US administration, but will evaluate its specific steps. "There will be no expectations or guesswork. We will judge by specific actions," the minister noted.
