President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent birthday greetings to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill, the press service of the Belarusian leader reported.

"Your life is an example of selfless service to the ideals of goodness and mercy. Your tireless work for the good of the Orthodox Church and society gives confidence and peace of mind to people. Through your pastoral word with the call to preserve Christian values and cultural heritage our spiritual foundations are enriched. The contribution you make to the development of interethnic dialog, to the strengthening of Belarusian-Russian friendship is especially valuable," the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Patriarch Kirill good health of mind and body, peace and God's help in all matters.
