Lukashenko concerned about uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence can destroy humanity. This opinion was expressed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in his speech in Astana at the CSTO summit, BELTA reports.
The President expressed concern about the prospects of uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence capabilities, which are increasingly used for planning and solving military tasks. "With the ability to self-learn, this tool can destroy humanity if it is released from control," he noted.
Among the problematic issues, the President also mentioned the topic of information security and cyber threats. "On the one hand, modern technologies create thousands of new opportunities and prospects. On the other hand, they give rise to many risks and threats - fakes, disinformation, attacks on critical infrastructure," Alexander Lukashenko said.
