Lukashenko congratulates Duma Boko on his election as President of Botswana

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Duma Boko on the occasion of his party's victory in the general elections in Botswana and his election as President of this country, BELTA reports.

"The results of the vote once again confirmed the strength of the Botswana democratic system. I am convinced that the course of sustainable development and modernization of the country will be continued under your leadership. Minsk is interested in building up long-term ties with Gaborone. We have prospects for cooperation in food security and technology transfer in agriculture, mining, information and communication technologies," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

The head of state confirmed the readiness of a high-level Belarusian delegation to visit Botswana in December this year to participate and make a constructive contribution to the results of the Third UN International Conference on Landlocked Countries.

The President wished Duma Boko good health and success in his new responsible post.
