At the CSTO summit in Astana, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko initiated the creation of a common legal mechanism to ensure control over new deadly types of weapons, BelTA informs.
"We have on our doorstep new deadly types of weapons capable of destroying the entire humanity. This arsenal has already been replenished with laser, hypersonic, quantum, electromagnetic and other advanced developments," the head of state stated.
"In our opinion, the CSTO can and should be at the forefront of activities to create a common treaty-legal mechanism to ensure control over such weapons in the future. This should be done already now. At least, it should be started," Alexander Lukashenko suggested.
