Lukashenko's Action Plan and Bilateral Talks at Global Forum in Baku
It's time to move from words to action! This is exactly what Belarus's call was at the World Climate Summit in Baku, where Alexander Lukashenko delivered a sharp and principled speech!
The effectiveness of the fight against climate change is, to put it mildly, low. But first of all, the world politicians need to think about how to stop wars that do NOT make our world greener.
Negotiations between the presidents of Belarus and Serbia
The bilateral format at such forums is a common thing for politicians - many issues can be resolved at once. Old friends should not be lost, Alexander Lukashenko believes. Minsk and Belgrade have a long common history.
Lukashenko to Vucic: We need to intensify relations
"We have been living in diplomatic relations for thirty years. Much has been done, but serious changes have occurred in our fate and in the fate of Serbia. It is all before our eyes. Nevertheless, life goes on. I think that we need to intensify our relations. It is bad that we do not have such intensive relations," said the Head of the Belarusian state.
Alexander Lukashenko proposed first to involve the intergovernmental commission, so that its members could gather, conduct an audit of bilateral relations and think about how and in what areas to cooperate further. "If something is not needed in our relations during this time, it should be discarded, new paths should be outlined. But relations should not just be maintained. Despite all the difficulties, they should be intensified," the Belarusian leader said.
"There are many areas of cooperation. I understand Serbia and have often said that it is difficult for you, you are practically surrounded, isolated. We must proceed from this and build our policy. But we cannot lose old friends. Therefore, we must maintain relations with Russia and Belarus. These are true friends, deep friends, and in this direction, I believe, Serbia will do its utmost," the Belarusian leader summed up.
President of Belarus held a meeting with the head of Zimbabwe
The negotiations with the President of Zimbabwe, one of Belarus' partners on the African continent, are also starting warmly. The joint commission is working within the framework of the roadmap defined by the leaders. Harare is modernizing its agricultural sector with the help of Belarus. But they are ready to accelerate on new projects as well.
The head of state also recalled the idea of expanding cooperation by involving other countries in the region, in particular Mozambique: "I have an idea that we discussed at one time. That we will meet somewhere in your place, invite the President of Mozambique and together we will build our joint relations. We will make it so that you had your own ports in Mozambique and through them we will cooperate with you more effectively and actively.".
The arrival of Alexander Lukashenko demonstrates Belarus's desire to help solve climate problems. As well as political global warming - it will be more beneficial to the world than ever.
