Power prices in Germany rise sixfold - what is the reason?

In Germany, the wholesale cost of electricity rose to 800 euros per kilowatt-hour. To understand the shocking nature of such tariff evolutions, it is necessary to know that the normal price of a kilowatt is 150 euros, and this is considered a stressful level for citizens and industry. A sixfold increase would be a real disaster for the country.

But let’s hope that this price will not be fixed for a long time. Due to a specific set of weather circumstances, wind turbines have been producing noticeably less electricity. At the same time, Germany is critically dependent on the weather after the closure of its nuclear power plants.
