Estonia is sinking deeper into a personnel crisis due to the abandonment of Russian-language schools. After the transition to the Estonian language, all teachers were required to have a B2 level of proficiency in it. In a country that already lacks teachers, they are now planning to fire hundreds of "unsuitable" teachers. The mayor of the capital announced this in Russian on local TV.
Earlier it became known that the Tallinn Education Department is preparing a pilot project. Thus, schoolchildren from ten classes will be able to attend one teacher's lesson online at a time.
