We need to unite efforts - Golovchenko on engineering cooperation of Belarus and Russia
Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and the CEO of the Kirovsky Zavod group of companies, discussed the prospects for developing the Union State agricultural machinery industry and localizing the production of key parts and components at a government meeting on November 21.
There are two tractor plants operating in Belarus and St. Petersburg. Moreover, the enterprises are not competitors, since each has its own class of machines. On the contrary, there is active cooperation; components from Belarusian manufacturers of glass, air conditioners, and tires are now installed on Kirovets. At the same time, new parts are also being developed.
Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Belarus:
"In recent years, we have significantly increased the volume of cooperation. We are grateful that you take the competencies of Belarusian manufacturers, primarily auto components, seriously enough. And work on this track is developing in a positive way. We must move forward and combine efforts in order to act as stable suppliers, primarily on the domestic market."
In October, Roman Golovchenko met with Sergei Serebryakov in St. Petersburg at the tractor plant. Then there was the first on-the-job discussion of joint steps to improve the quality and technological import independence of Belarusian and Russian agricultural machinery.
