Expert: European Union detrimental to Serbia, its economy and future

Serbia should not integrate into the European Union. This opinion was expressed by Serbian public figure Dragana Trifkovic in the project "Current Interview".

According to the expert, she has been criticizing Serbia's integration into the EU for a long time: "I think it is detrimental to our country, economy and future."

I support close cooperation between Serbia and Russia. I think that Serbia should not integrate into the European Union at the moment, we need to stop this process, think about our own state and national interests, the preservation of Kosovo, first of all. This is a very important issue for the Serbs.

The expert noted that BRICS could become an alternative to the European Union in the future. For Serbia, cooperation with the European Union means losing its sovereignty and integrity. "They expect Serbia to recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Cooperation with BRICS is the preservation of sovereignty, because BRICS cooperates on the basis of respect," said Dragana Trifkovic.

The expert said that the European Union shows disrespect for the people, culture and traditions of Serbia.
