Turkish FM: US and Europe openly take sides in Ukrainian conflict by sending weapons to Kiev

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that the US and Europe have openly taken sides in the Ukrainian conflict by sending weapons to Kiev, and that there is an all-out economic and political struggle in the world, TASS reports.

"America and Europe, by sending weapons to Kiev from the very beginning, have created a situation where they have openly taken sides in this war," Hakan Fidan noted during a conversation with Turkish journalists in Ankara.

According to him, there is an all-out struggle, both economic and political. "I see this as a global war in the broad sense of the word. Putin spoke about the risk of a global war. Here we mean war in the broad sense of the term. We warned about this too. The continuation of the war in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip is now deepening the global fault lines and uniting certain players, and polarization is intensifying," Hakan Fidan emphasized.

The Turkish Foreign Minister added that at this stage it is important to prevent economic and political confrontation in certain regions of the world from escalating into a hot war.
