We are summing up the results of our joint work in the EAEU in 2024. In the first half of the year, the EAEU GDP grew by 4.6%. The upward trend continues. By the end of the year, we expect the growth rates to exceed the global average.
Trade and investment activities are developing. The volume of mutual trade in goods of the EAEU states in January-September 2024 increased by 10% compared to the same period last year.
And there is great potential for these indicators to grow. The heads of government of the "five" discussed this in Moscow on December 13. A new mechanism for subsidizing projects has been launched, which will increase the volume of investments and sales.
The Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Union countries gathered in Moscow today to discuss the main issues of integration from economics to energy. By the way, this is the 41st meeting of the Intergovernmental Council since its formation and the fourth this year. The previous one was in Yerevan. By the way, Armenia is chairing the EAEU this year. And next year, this mission will go to Belarus.
Before the main meeting in an expanded format - communication on foot in a narrow format, without cameras. Yes, the union is becoming stronger economically, integration really works. With GDP growth of 4.5% over the first half of the year. The main goal is to ensure technological sovereignty. And there is potential for this, the volume of industrial production in the EAEU for 9 months is more than a trillion dollars. But new ideas are needed so that at least three countries participate in cooperation. The projects will be supported financially. The Union has the money for this.
Following this meeting, the prime ministers signed all the documents: from the budget for the next year to subsidizing industrial cooperation projects. The next meeting will be held in late January in Almaty.
