Nazaruk reveals what vessels are planned to be produced in Belarus
The next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government is scheduled for May 30 in Dushanbe. This was announced on December 12 in Moscow at a meeting of prime ministers of the CIS countries. They talked about the elimination of barriers to mutual trade and technological sovereignty. One of its main components is effective industrial cooperation. Last year the concept of industrial cooperation development until 2030 was approved. The emphasis is placed on such industries as microelectronics, machine-tool construction and aircraft building. Today the cooperation in shipbuilding was also sealed with signatures.
Igor Nazaruk, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus:
“There are a lot of rivers in Belarus. Many of them are navigable in large sections. Moreover, now I will tell you a little secret: we are working on the issue of purchasing the appropriate types of vessels for dredging. Accordingly, we have certain competencies to produce, maybe not the entire vessel, but some components. You know, this is also a very complex mechanism that requires navigation, localization and other equipment. And the propulsion system alone is worth what, and the propellers and so on! So I am not saying that this is what we will do, but we are ready to do many components.”
