Kasinski: Belarusian Army ready to meet modern challenges
The Belarusian army stands guard over the peace and security of the country and is ready to meet modern challenges. This was stressed by Assistant Minister of Defense for Ideological Work Leonid Kasinski, summing up the results of a two-day training camp with ideological officers in Minsk.
The format of the meeting had a practical orientation - it was aimed at improving skills of military the commanders. In addition to representatives of the military department, outside speakers and media personalities were invited to address the audience on urgent topics during the election campaign.
Among other things, they touched upon the issues of countering destructive forces and ensuring security in the information field, as well as raised the topic of consolidation of the Belarusian society on the eve of the presidential election.
Leonid Kasinski - Assistant to the Minister of Defense for Ideological Work in the Armed Forces of Belarus:
"The format was chosen not by chance, taking into account the situation that has developed today around the Republic of Belarus, taking into account the tasks that the Armed Forces are facing. The main goal is to give officers a full understanding of the picture that really exists today. The deputies for ideological work have strengthened their knowledge and skills during these two days. They heard a lot of interesting things that, maybe due to their daily workload, they could not hear in the course of their tasks."
It is the army that ill-wishers view as a force that prevents them from undermining power and causing disorder in society. Therefore, the stability of the state as a whole depends on the stability of the Armed Forces - the most consolidated and active patriotic part of Belarusian society, the country's Minister of Defense expressed confidence.
The meeting ended with the assignment of service tasks to ideological officers for the current academic year.
