NATO is preparing for war with Russia, Grushko says

The North Atlantic Alliance is preparing for war with Russia, Moscow takes these risks into account in military planning and does not advise the West to experiment with this. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko in an interview with kp.ru, TASS reports.
"It is in everyone's interests not to bring the situation to this kind of experiment. Russia has consistently adhered to the course of preventing a direct clash, including by demonstrating our military capabilities. There is every reason to believe that the signals we have sent about the possible consequences of "measuring strength" with us are being read on the other side," he said.
"To summarize, NATO is preparing for an armed conflict with Russia. Our proposals to strengthen military security were rejected by the United States and its allies. NATO's aggressive behavior and the direct risks to Russia's security associated with it are taken into account in our military development and in the process of defense planning," the diplomat added, noting that Russia's security will be ensured under any scenario.
According to Grushko, NATO's general course poses a danger both to Russia and to the overall architecture of global and regional security. "Russia has been declared "the most significant and direct threat to the security of allies" for the long term. By demonizing Russia's intentions, NATO is trying to achieve superiority in all operational environments, continuously increasing the size of military contingents near Russian borders, conducting exercises that include practicing offensive actions, and developing a logistics infrastructure for the rapid transfer of troops, weapons, and equipment," the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation continued. "Regional defense plans have been adopted that are largely copied from the schemes used by the alliance during the Cold War."
