Trifkovic: Belarus is a very important country for Serbia
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a series of talks at the climate summit in Baku, including with his Serbian counterpart.
Alexander Lukashenko proposed to involve an intergovernmental commission to clearly define in which areas to cooperate further.
DraganaTrifkovic, public figure (Serbia):
"Belarus is a very important country for Serbia. Serbia loves this country very much and respects the Belarusian people. And it would be very significant for us to improve our relations. I think that this is the attitude towards us here in Belarus."
However, external factors hinder closer cooperation. "Unfortunately, in these geopolitical plans there is no place for Orthodox countries, no place for Serbia, for Belarus, for Russia. That is, there is room only if they remake us in a way that suits them, but simply respecting us as we exist, as we really are, is impossible for them."
