Belarusian embassy to open at the Holy See

Belarus will open an embassy at the Holy See. This is stated in the Decree of the Council of Ministers of December 20, 2024 № 988, which was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA reports.

The resolution provides for the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to the Holy See by September 1, 2025. The Ministry of Finance is instructed to finance the costs of opening and maintenance of the embassy at the Holy See within the funds provided to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the national budget for the opening and maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular offices of Belarus abroad.

The Resolution comes into force on the day of its official publication.
